We have NO affiliation with Jamie McIntyre

You may have seen in the media recently, an article stating that Jamie McIntyre owns the 21st Century group and that he is being investigated and prosecuted by ASIC over his involvement in certain land banking schemes.

21st Century Group Pty Ltd has been owned and is still owned by myself.

Phil McCarroll – Journalist

To whom it may concern,

I write to apologise for an article published on yourinvestmentpropertymagazine.com.au on 8 August that incorrectly referred to the 21st Century Group as being the subject of an Australian Securities and Investment Commission investigation.

The information contained in the article came from a ASIC press release distributed on 7 August that suggested 21st Century Group was associated with a Jamie McIntyre, an individual who is under investigation by ASIC.

It has since been bought to my attention that Mr McIntyre has no claim to the company name 21st Century Group and that ASIC was incorrect to suggest there is a relationship between the two.

ASIC updated its press release on 23 September to clarify their mistake but did not redistribute the release, which is why the incorrect information was not removed earlier.

I apologise wholeheartedly for the error and any subsequent harm done from the publication of the article.

The article has been removed from the website and a retraction has been published.

Yours sincerely, Phil McCarroll
